Garnet Shell Cordovan is a difficult color to define, falling between a deep ruby and medium-bodied red wine. The depth of the vegetable-tanned Cordovan creates a rich, saturated color that cannot be replicated.
As with all lighter shell cordovan, color variation is expected. Color variation between panels is also common and considered acceptable.
One of the unique properties of Shell Cordovan is the watercolor paint-like character that allows you to see beyond the surface layer. It has a very natural appearance that can be attributed to the six-month-long vegetable-tanned process.
